Alison NicholsonAlison Nicholson formed Spellbound Talks in 2005. Her main body of experience was gained during the fourteen years she worked for the Royal Geographical Society, organising a wide range of talks, interviews, conferences and special events for both its members and the general public.

As Head of Programmes, she built up a wealth of experience and contacts. And having organised or listened to something in the region of 600 talks, she began to understand the essential ingredients needed to captivate, educate and entertain a capacity audience. She pioneered an exciting new series of talks, which toured highlights from the RGS London programme using selected regional theatres across the country. During her time at the RGS, she had the privilege of working with such talented names as Michael Palin, Bill Bryson, Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Dame Ellen MacArthur, Kate Adie and Sir David Attenborough to name just a few …

Alison understands how an event needs to be run from both the organisers and speakers perspectives. Acting as a ‘link’ between high quality speakers and those organisations who wish to provide inspirational, motivational, educational and/or entertaining talks, her abundance of experience ensures that all bookings run smoothly from start to finish and the process proceeds simply and satisfactorily on all sides.
